Help us change the law to close the life expectancy gap

In some parts of the UK, people are dying up to 16 years earlier than in others. That’s not just bad luck or down to individual choices – it's because too many people don’t have access to the basics that help us stay healthy. That’s why we’re campaigning to make better health a national priority. Right now, too many of us in the UK are being held back from good health and in the past decade our nation’s health has got worse, and inequalities have widened ever further. 

Change is possible if the government does more to take these problems seriously. 

We now have a chance to change the law to drive coordinated action on health inequalities across government.
